FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q1.) What makes lessons at Ron Kaye's Music Instruction better than lessons from the local music stores or anyone else for that matter? There are far too many reasons to list here, but here's a few to think about....

A1.) First and foremost, WE ARE PROFESSIONALS! NOTHING is more irritating than paying for lessons and the instructor is never there at your lesson time, or they need to miss your lesson because of insignificant reasons. Our instructors RARELY, if ever, reschedule a lesson on our account, and WE ARE ALWAYS AT THE LESSON WHEN WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. We approach our student's needs from a professional standpoint; teaching music is not only our living - it's our passion! Our instruction is available from 9:00 A.M to 9:00 P.M Monday through Saturday by appointment; this means that we offer more available times and flexibility than any competitors. That usually means we can find a time for you or your family when other places are closed for the day.

Secondly, although there are many players/singers or merchants who offer "music lessons", very few, it seems, teach music education with an emphasis on becoming a musician. We teach music education. Rather than merely copying the instructor's playing movements, we teach each student to function as a musician by furnishing them with the knowledge and understanding of music which eventually will equip them to not only play with skill, but also be able to learn a second instrument on their own or even teach music if they so desire.

In addition, merely mimicking the instructor's movements, as some teach, may eventually lead to the ability to play a piece of music; however, we believe understanding music theory and actively participating in the study of music makes the student more self-sufficient in future music endeavors. After all, getting the most for your money should include the ability to not only play music, but also create, appreciate, understand, and love music long after your lessons are completed.

Thirdly, we have expert instuctors who know have years of experience, know music, love teaching, and are passionate about seeing our students excel!

Lastly, We are not a business that provides music lessons on the side - it is our full-time passion! Unlike our competition in the marketplace, our reason for existing is to do what we do best - Teach Music!

Q2 HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO TAKE LESSONS?
A2. You may take lessons for as long or short of a period as you wish. We do not obligate you to take 3 or 6 months of lessons. You may stop lessons at any time provided no money is due at the time of your lesson cancellation.

Q3. How often would I have a lesson?
A3. If you are seriously seeking to learn an instrument, you must take lessons on at least a once a week basis. It is in the best interest of the student to have the consistency of one lesson per week.

Q4. How long will it take me to be able to play?
A4. Every student brings to the lesson process several key factors. First, natural ability such as coordination and agility. Second, Discipline - how long or often are you willing to practice? Lastly, attitude plays a vital role in student development, so if you really want to learn, you will succeed..

Q5. How often do I pay for my lessons?
A5. DRUM/PERCUSSION, PIANO, AND GUITAR LESSONS CAN BE PAID FOR WEEKLY, BI-WEEKLY, OR MONTHLY. VOICE INSTRUCTION IS PAID FOR MONTHLY.

Q6. By what method can I pay for my lessons?
We accept cash, debit cards, credit cards, personal checks, VISA, Master Card, and Discover.
