Ron Kaye’s Music Instruction’s Beginning  Saxiphone Lessons

  In approximately the 1840’s, Adolphe Sax invented the saxophone and it has steadily grown popularity ever since.  In contemporary circles, saxophones in concert bands play harmonies, melodies, solos,  and blend with other band instruments. Fingerings are virtually the same on the Bb soprano, Eb alto,  Bb tenor, Eb baritone, & Bb bass saxophones.  Our program focuses on teaching the fundamentals utilizing the Eb Alto Sax.  The student can then later choose another member of the sax family (if they so desire) and know what they are doing.  Some famous sax players are Eugene Rousseau, Sigurd Rascher, and David Sanborn.

Our program starts the student of rith by focusing on the basic fundamentas which make great musicianship possible.  As our student you will learn posture, breathing & airstream, how to produce quality tone, reed placement, emboucher, dynamics, music theory, ear training, and more in a fun and productive manner.
